Custom Cables
As
of February 28, 2006 I no longer assemble custom cables. Cable
lengths and seperate connectors are sold and do-it-yourself.
Email
to order.
Canare cables and
connectors and Neutrik connectors are some of the best around and hae
set the standards for quality and performance.
Make your
own patch cables. "Cables" instead of patch "cords" simply because they
are assembled from cable that is specifically designed for professional
broadcast studio applications and are popular with network and cable
channels.
Go to www.Canare.com and see for
yourself why professional broadcast engineers, sound technicians, A/V
facility integrators, design consultants and many leading OEM's, have
come to rely on Canare's product quality and proven
reliability.
* Standard XLR
cables are wired pin 1 ground (shield), pin 2 positive (hot), pin 3
negative (cold).
*
Connecting XLRs to 1/4" or 1/8"; Pin 1 on the XLR goes to
"sleeve" on the 1/8" or 1/4". Pin 2 of the XLR (that's the hot or +
signal) goes to "tip" on the 1/8" or 1/4". What goes to pin 3 on XLR
(negative) goes to "ring."
