Our Giant Squid Mono Cardioid Microphones are designed for the professional and hobbyist who prefer to take advantage of some recorder's capability of doubling the recording time when set in the Mono mode.

As with our other mono and stereo models these Cardioids are of high quality design and produce good quality sound.

Microphone Elements and Clips
This microphone have a Cardioid electret condenser microphone cartridge.

These have a high degree of reliability under adverse shock, vibration and environmental conditions.  The capsules specifications being  -51 decibels + 4dB sensitive and have a 100 to 12,000 hz frequency range.

Highly concealable Mono mic.  Cardioid clip with vent hole.

The high fidelity Unidirectional  microphone capsule is inside a handcrafted brass housing with durable steel alligator clips at the base and black automotive finish.

Designed specifically for use with the “mic input” jack, also known as "plug-in power," that has voltage outputs from between 1.5 to 9 volts or with our Miniature Stereo and Mono Microphone 9 Volt Battery Power Supply.

Cable
We use the highest quality cable available for this type of microphone application.

The Miniature Balanced Musical Instrument cable was designed for professional stage and studio applications, has greater abrasion and impact resistance, extra limpness, and at the same time light weight.

A larger gage of this type of cable is used by in the pro music industry including large concert venues.

It is rugged, flexible, has a long flex life and high interference and noise immunity.

High Quality Stereo Mini Plug

Gold Plated Mini Stereo Plug

Each mic has a strong, durable Gold Plated 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) mini-stereo plug. High quality connection and small enough to be unobstructive.

Optional Neutrik NTP3RC-B right Angle Gold Plated Plugs
Neutrik NTP3RC-B Gold Right Angled Plug
This is a plug that is soldered to the cable.  Not an adapter.

These low profile Neutrik NTP3RC-B right angle plugs work well for recorders with recessed input jacks.

These are the best right angled gold plated plugs available anywhere, in my opinon.
